The second edition of the StormX Invitational poker event will take place live from the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas on Thursday, October 27, 2022. In the thrilling $5,000 buy-in tournament, crypto executives, investors, poker professionals, and celebrities will compete for the top prize, and poker enthusiasts from across the globe will be able to watch the action for free on PokerGO and YouTube.
The StormX Invitational II is a $5,000 buy-in, invitation-only poker event with 81 participants and a prize pool of at least $400,000. Daniel Negreanu, winner of the most recent Super High Roller Bowl VII, is expected to participate with poker players Doug Polk, Maria Ho, Tom Dwan, David Williams, Joseph Cheong, Andy Stacks, Kitty Kuo, and Xuan Liu. Simon Yu, co-founder and CEO of StormX, will also be in the field with Arden Cho, Bruce Buffer, Maria Konnikova, Mychal Kendricks, and Wesley Fei.
In the first six stages of the StormX Invitational II, re-entries are permitted for $5,000 and players begin with 100,000 in starting chips.
The first StormX Invitational was conducted in the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas earlier this year as part of the expanding cooperation between StormX and PokerGO. Oliver Blakey, managing partner of Ascendant Assets, overcame 111 competitors to earn the first-place award of $183,150. David Williams and Maria Ho placed sixth and ninth, respectively, at the final table.
